WipeDrive 5Completely eliminate |
After you wipe your hard drive, reinstall Windows From a Manufacturer's System Restore Disk
Due to the fact that there are dozens of computer manufacturers, the following instructions may not correspond exactly to your particular restore CD. This information is provided as an aid and we recommend following your computer manufacturer's instructions. These instructions can usually be found on the manufacturers web site.Because WipeDrive wipes out the partition table of the hard drive, you may need to re-create it before using the restore CD. Most restore disks do this for you. If you get an error about not being able to format then you will need to perform the following steps to recreate the partition table.
Creating a Startup Diskette
To create a Startup Diskette:- Download and save the following program to your desktop. Do not save the file to a diskette.
Download Startup Diskette Creator Now.
- After saving the file, double click on it to run the disk creation program.
- Insert a blank diskette into the drive and follow the prompts to create a startup diskette.
Creating a new partition table

- When prompted, select the option to start the computer with CD-ROM support.
- After a minute or so, you will see an "A:>" prompt.

- The drive integrity will be verified.
- Unless you are planning to make multiple partitions, select Y whenasked if you want to use the maximum available size for the partition and to make the partition active.
- The drive integrity will be verified again.
- Press the Esc key to exit fdisk.
- Your hard drive is now partitioned and ready to install the operating system.
